VRF is characterized by the ability to connect multiple indoor units to one outdoor unit and control the indoor units individually. The outdoor unit uses an inverter-driven compressor and can change the refrigerant flow rate according to the indoor unit load.
Since the capacity range of the indoor unit is wide, air conditioning of even small spaces is possible. Also, indoor units can be individually started, stopped and controlled to regulate temperature, thereby leading to energy savings.
The City Multi VRF System provides
- Energy-saving performance: Wasteful energy use can be prevented by operating the inverter according to the load and by using an intelligent power module, such as DIPIPM, and techniques for improving the energy saving performance of the inverter.
- Self-developed Compressor: Mitsubishi Electric has focused on in-house development of the compressor, the core component of the air conditioner. We have developed a compressor that meets the specifications required by the air conditioner. This achieved qualities that include a low-pressure shell, and the capability to operate the outdoor unit up to 20 HP with a single compressor.
